What is Dispatch23?

Dispatch23 is a web directory run in the manner of an editorial periodical: entries are filed by section, reviewed against a plain set of terms, and recorded in the order they were accepted. It is not a search engine and does not rank results. The current edition holds 834 entries across 22 sections.

Is it free to list my site?

Yes. Submission to Dispatch23 has always been free and will remain so. There is no paid tier, no featured placement, and no advertising in the directory. An entry either meets the filing criteria or it does not; payment plays no part in that determination.

How are sites organised?

The directory is divided into 22 editorial sections, each covering a distinct area of the web — from the Motoring Desk and Dental Health Column to the Technology Section and Travel & Away Desk. Within each section, entries are filed in the order they were accepted. A site is assigned to the section that best reflects its primary subject.

How do I submit a site?

Use the submission form on this page. Select the section that best fits your site, enter the URL, and provide a plain description of what the site does. The entry will be reviewed and, if it meets the criteria, filed to the appropriate section. No payment is required at any point.

How long before my submission appears?

Submissions are reviewed on a rolling basis. An accepted entry is typically filed within a few days. If your site does not appear after a reasonable period, check that the URL you submitted is live and that the description is plainly worded and accurate.

What does Dispatch23 look for in a submission?

Three things: the site must be live and reachable, the description supplied must be plainly worded and accurate, and the submission must be made in good faith. Sites that meet these criteria are filed; those that do not are declined.

Does Dispatch23 endorse the sites it lists?

No. The directory is a record of addresses, not a set of recommendations. Dispatch23 does not audit the quality, safety, or accuracy of any listed site. Readers are asked to exercise their own judgement before acting on any entry.

Can I update my listing?

Yes. If your URL, description, or section placement needs correcting, use the submission form to send a note with your domain and the required change. Updates are applied at the next review.
